Perspectives on Iraq

Three years after the Americans officially declared victory in Iraq, here is retrospection and reflection from three analysts with different perspectives on the situation. I particularly liked Tom Palmer's "Six facts about Iraq".

Firstly, nice to have you drop by!

On the question of Iran, I think Bush or his successor will have much more trouble convincing the nation to go to war. Christopher Hitchens wrote this article where he argues that the best way out in Iran is by resuming normal relations with it. Iran has a largely young population frustrated with the fundamentalists, and it's not too much to expect change from within. Do read the piece.

Whatcha doing with a TV if you want to know real news? ;-).

Dont delete your comments man! Atleast post them on your blog and link to them in comments sections, it would be nice to have some discussion going.

The oil-rich countries do have a mostly western way of life, dont they? My understanding is that Iranians do want greater political freedom, they are only finding it tough to implement change.
